Présentation d'Elsa

Hello,

I am a researcher at UCLouvain and an affiliate at the Centre for Economic Performance at the LSE. For the past three years, I have been working on the impact of the Brexit referendum on the UK economy and more generally on the impact of globalization on European countries
.
As a researcher in economics, I have to develop research project from start to finish both independently and in collaboration with outer researchers. It involves defining a research question, implementing in-depth quantitative analysis to answer, and writing the results in various format (policy brief, academic papers...).

I am also actively involved in disseminating and communicating our findings to a wider audience. I have given presentations to government bodies, I was interviewed by international media and share my expertise with journalists and private sector agents.
At the end of my PhD, I was looking for research positions. I met a researcher from the LSE at a seminar while I was in Vancouver. She told me that they had just got a grant to work on the impact of the Brexit vote on the UK economy and were looking for young researchers to get involved. I found the opportunity very appealing as I was keen to work on projects with impact. I've applied right away. I definitely do not regret it. I now moved to Belgium to work on a very promising project on winners and losers of globalization.

Feel free to contact me if you want to know more about my job
