Hello, I am the CEO of Orano Med, a French biotech pioneer and leader in the field of targeted alpha therapy against cancer using Pb212 isotope. I started my career on the commercial side with various sales, marketing and payer roles at the local and global level in large and mid-size pharma. I then lead R&D teams and managed complex portfolio of cancer dugs for 10 years and was involved in the global approvals of several cancer medicines. I have worked and lived in France, UK, Germany and now resides in the United States. I am the ultimate point of accountability and lead teams of highly trained and skilled professionals (scientists, medical doctors, pharmacologists, pharmacists, biostatisticians..) who are subject matter experts in the various functions involved in the drug development process. My role is to be the "chef d'orchestre" of the virtual global teams of ~ 100 people dealing with all aspects of the drug development process: development of formulation and supply chain, clinical development strategy, biomarker and companion diagnostics, clinical trial design and execution, regulatory submission, medical affairs, marketing and market access. In essence, this is a general management role, like being the "CEO" of a biotech firm within a larger enterprise. I love my job for its purpose, complexity and impact on patients lives; there is nothing more compelling than coming everyday at work when what you do matters so much.
