Présentation de Sébastien

Hi, I’m Sébastien Delarue I work as Business Development Manager for Atens in the EMEA region, building strong partnerships with distributors and agricultural stakeholders to bring innovative, natural solutions to growers. Our mission is clear: help farmers produce better with sustainable practices. Atens is a pioneer in microbial manufacturing, offering products that are 100% natural, efficient, and aligned with regenerative agriculture principles. My role combines technical expertise and commercial strategy. I collaborate with partners to address key agronomic challenges in crops like Orchards, Greenhouse but also Greenkeeping, Landscaping promoting IPM (Integrated Pest Management) and biological solutions that reduce chemical dependency while improving soil health and crop resilience. Before joining Atens, I worked as an IPM Specialist in the U.S. (California, Arizona, New Mexico), supporting growers in greenhouses and open fields. I helped them identify pests, select the right beneficial insects, and ensure compatibility with other treatments. This hands-on experience taught me the importance of precision, sustainability, and trust in agriculture. My career started in horticulture and field production, then evolved through roles in agricultural inputs and seed business, giving me a pluridisciplinary perspective on the industry. Today, I combine this background to develop international projects that connect innovation with real-world farming needs. If you’re passionate about agriculture, export markets, technical field missions, and sustainable solutions, this is an exciting path where science meets business and impact. Feel free to reach out, I’d be happy to share insights and help you explore this career! Every day is a mix of strategy, innovation, and connection. My role as Business Development Manager in the agricultural sector means I’m constantly bridging science and business to create impact. Here’s what that looks like: - Prospecting new partners in key regions to expand access to natural and sustainable solutions for growers. - Collaborating with local teams, training them on our innovative microbial technologies and protocols that support regenerative agriculture. - Understanding growers’ needs by listening, visiting fields, and analyzing their challenges to propose tailored solutions. - Engaging stakeholders, from distributors to technical advisors—to build trust and long-term partnerships. - Field visits and technical missions, where I see crops firsthand and ensure our solutions deliver results. - Participating in fairs and giving talks, sharing knowledge and trends in IPM and sustainable farming. - Market studies and sales planning, combining technical and commercial approaches to design strategies that work. It’s a dynamic role where you mix science, business, and sustainability and every day brings new opportunities to help agriculture evolve toward a better future. I started with a Scientific Baccalaureate, then earned a BTSA in Horticultural Production, and later graduated from ISTOM, an engineering school focused on international agricultural projects. This gave me a solid technical and scientific foundation and opened the door to global perspectives. I’ve worked in France, Mexico, the U.S., and now Spain, across companies of different sizes and cultures. These experiences taught me to adapt to different languages, skills, mindsets, and agricultural approaches, both technical and cultural. From the start, I knew I wanted to work in agriculture, combining science, business development, and human connection and I love traveling to learn and share knowledge in diverse environments. I can share insights on building an international career in agriculture, how I combined studies, training periods, and diverse projects to reach my current role. From working in France, Mexico, the U.S., and Spain, I’ve learned how to adapt to different cultures, languages, and agricultural approaches while staying connected to the core mission: innovating for sustainable farming.
