Hello, I am retired effective 31 December 2023. As Internal Auditor, and in compliance with the Standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors (global.theiia.org), I performed assurance audits and advisory projects which provided the OECD (oecd.org) Secretary-General (CEO) and the Audit Committee with an independent view of the Organisation's governance, risk management and internal controls. I managed audit and advisory projects, first by sourcing external experts, and together we gathered information via documentation and interviews. The result is a written report, which highlights positive aspects, and which makes recommendations to address any possibilities for improvement. Thus, my job required technical acumen, but also very precise and clear oral and written communication skills. A UK national, I trained to become a Chartered Accountant (icas.com) with Ernst & Young. Then in 1987, as I wanted to enhance my international experience, I accepted an opportunity to work with KPMG in Paris La Defense; I worked in a variety of private sector positions in Europe and West Africa; and I have been working with the OECD, a Paris-based international organisation, since 1997.
