Corporate development
– Shape AXA IM inorganic development strategy with the management and involve AXA Group stakeholders
– Screen and source potential acquisitions, team lift-outs, and partnerships opportunities
– Structure and execute transactions – Examples: sale of UK private client business, acquisition of a real-estate manager in Australia, acquisition of a stake in a Private Debt manager, acquisition of a minority stake in a fintech, acquisition of a minority stake in an ESG data provider
Management of participations and shareholder representation
– Manage strategic participations, influence strategic choices, support and challenge their development
– Represent AXA at Board of Directors: Dreams (Swedish Fintech), Iceberg Data Lab (ESG data provider), AXA IM Chorus (hedge fund), AXA IM China and AXA IM Italia
– Oversee AXA IM Asian joint ventures in China, India, and Korea (financial trajectory, capital position, development strategy)
Capital management and legal restructurings
– Evaluate and review legal set-ups, identify and execute restructurings (i.e. mergers, business transfers or liquidations) to generate savings, capital free-up, and / or simplification of internal legal structures.
– Manage AXA IM Group financial structure (i.e. capital allocation and dividend policy, financing needs, liquidity)
Strategy and business development projects
– Develop strategic insights, assess and evaluate market trends, monitor peers, and draw implications for AXA IM
– Orchestrate strategic planning exercise, coordinate business and finance functions, manage stakeholders and associated governances (e.g. Management Boards, Board of Directors, preparation of Investor Days)
– Lead strategic projects (e.g. greenfield developments and specific support to new business initiatives)
