Hi, I’m Gerardo and I’m a chemical engineer. I have a MSc degree from the IFP School, a top-notch school in petroleum engineering and energy. I have worked in the oil and gas industry for almost a decade, in different roles and projects. I specialize in field development, project management and production optimization. I have expertise in both conventional and unconventional reservoirs, as well as onshore operations. As a mentor, I want to share my insights and advice with you, if you are curious about a career in the oil and gas industry, or you wish to enhance your skills and knowledge in reservoir geoscience and engineering. I started my career at YPF S.A., the largest oil and gas company in Argentina, where I worked with various departments such as integrity engineering, drilling, oil processing, logistics, and production & reservoir engineering. I then moved to TotalEnergies, one of the world’s leading energy companies, where I gained more experience in the petrophysics and geoscience fields. I came back to YPF S.A. as a Reservoir Engineer where I achieved several success such as changing the decline rate of a field from 11% to 6% and managed high impact projects. Currently, I’m based in Geneva, Switzerland, working with IS-45 OFDC and Aiteo, two innovative companies where I apply my skills and knowledge to solve complex problems and deliver value to my clients.
