Présentation de David
Hello, my name is David. I'm an Independent Investment Advisor at a Wealth Management Firm called GIA Life Mexico, which serves more than 3,000 clients in more than 30 cities in 9 countries. As an Investment Advisor, my role is to help clients understand the basics of saving and investing, to help them organize their assets, and to design tailor made strategies to maintain and grow their wealth. As a portfolio manager, my role is to monitor, analyze, buy, and sell securities on global markets (stocks, ETF's, structured notes, and mutual funds) on behalf of my clients, through brokers based in the US and the UK (JP Morgan, Interactive Brokers, Hansard, Bank of New York Mellon). We're located on the 24th floor of Torre Natyvo, in Lomas de Angelópolis, the urban area of Puebla, in Mexico. My activities can take place anywhere so I do a lot of home office. I establish my own schedule and goals and I actively seek to have a good work/life balance. I began my career in finance as an intern at Société Générale in Paris, at La Défense in 2007. Since then, I have been passioned about the financial markets, and I love teaching finance as well. I developed my own online courses and I have taught finance at universities in my home country. Some of my students pushed me to become a portfolio manager, because most were professionals and business owners, and they didn't have the time to take care of their assets. I obtained in 2018 my Independent Investment Advisor license from the National Banking and Securities Commission in Mexico. This allows me to work directly for my clients, rather than working for a financial institution, and gives me the liberty to choose the best banks, brokers, and financial services firms without having conflicts of interest. I'm a member of the board and treasurer (CFO) of a Startup company (a hospital group). My role is to procure ressources from venture capital funds, banks and the Mexican Stock Exchange to take the company public in the future. I can talk about my day-to-day life as an investment advisor. I'm open to exchange knowledge and experience in either English or French (Spanish is my mother tongue). Feel free to contact me if you want to know more about my job and how I can be of service to your career and/or internship opportunities.
