Hello, After nearly 15 year working on construction and earthmoving equipment, I changed careers and became a loss adjuster, where short projects and a vast array of systems keep me learning every day. Upon receiving a mission, I gather the relevant information in order to publish a report to the insurance company, specifying the claim, with the appropriate technical justification. This can include an inspection, setting up and attending meetings with the relevant parties, or visio-comference when required. Loss adjusting is all about being able to grasp quickly the technical matter in an incident. Usually, you can get there after a few years of experience, value that experience and build on your technical skills to embrace the insurance know-how.
