Hello,

I am head of unit (genetic engineering and model validation).
We provide research services to academic laboratories and pharmaceutical companies.
The objective of my division is to create models for fundamental and preclinical research. My responsibilities are to manage the 4 teams in charge of creating these models (20 people in total), and to develop new technologies or research projects. I thus ensure technical and operational responsibility and coordinate research and development activities and service delivery.
Our research projects aim at improving the quality and reproducibility of models used to understand gene function and discover new approaches to therapy in humans. They also serve to develop new offers for the scientific community.
I do many scientific communications to highlight these developments, manage the resources and budget of my department and seek funds, define strategic orientations, guarantee the follow up of quality standards and the efficiency of the realization of our services for our clients. I manage the ISO9001 quality process within the department.

After a PhD in 2004 about bacterial mobile elements evolution, I worked for 3 years in one of the leader company in the generation of customized and ready-to-use genetically modified mouse and rat models to develop and improve the molecular biology activity. I joined my actual company in 2007 as a project manager in charge of its industrial customers and was appointed as head of unit in 2008.
