Hello, I am a microbiology expert in an international support group in a pharmaceutical company. My job is to ensure microbes are kept under control in drug products and in production environment. It translates in various tasks from validation of QC method, analysis of compliance gap , memo and answers to regulatory bodies or investigation of microbial contamination in the field. I am based in Netherlands and work in an international support group to support all sites and third parties in relation with my company. To do these various tasks, I use all my success and failures experienced through academic education and professional positions. I have a background of undergraduate study in Pharmacy, research master, development of molecular methods in oncology during residency in hospitals, professional master in in vitro diagnostics ,a 5 year experience in R&D/ molecular methods in microbiology in bio Merieux, including 2 knowledge transfer missions in US and Netherlands. I ended by luck in pharmaceutical industry, with a position of microbiology specialist in an international group. My path in international position, pharmacy, molecular methods/ diagnostic applied to microbiology suited maybe 20 % of the job description, but I was thrilled by the challenge of filling the gap and to develop in so many more fields .
