Présentation de Jean-Paul
Hello, I am an exploration geologist who worked all over the world, initially exploring for uranium and later for gold and base metals. In the later part of my career I was exploration manager. I did what I liked and also traveled in many different cultures which opens your mind. My duties were: - managing the exploration activities of the exploration company which technically include o goophysical work in order to understand the mineralising fluid structures, o geochemical work in order to understand the geochemical anomalies, o geological work in order to understand where the orebody will be - Managing health, safety and environment to make sure that the team is safe and the environment is respected as much as possible - Managing administration within the company and the administration within the country where exploration takes place. A very interesting part of the exploration manager’s duties is to make sure the team members are properly educated professionally. I started as exploration geologist with TOTAL Mining in 1975, and then based in Australia, I worked on different projects in Australia and Africa and retired in 2016 from the position of Exploration Manager with Newcrest Mining in Cote d’Ivoire. I supervised exploration teams of up to 100 people. I am available to discuss with you the opportunities for mineral exploration geologist and eventually mineral exploration management in Australia and Anglo-Saxon countries. If I can help you, contact me.
