Hello, I am a self employed product owner at my own company Edasipürgija (endeavour). I am running software development teams mainly in banking to develop custom made software solutions. The key in that field to be successful is to understand the business and technology at the same time to facilitate fruitful work towards common goal. Work with business means usually splitting the desired outcome into the smaller functional deliverables, which can be developed, tested and released more frequently. It is usually dealing with mentality "all the functions are highly important and shall be delivered at once". Work with IT usually means explaining why some kind of specific exemptions are needed and why not all the things cannot unified and simplified on the shake of "it would be much more easy to implement and maintain". The work is to bring those many times antagonistic worlds together and make the cooperate in the fruitful manner. I am open to discuss how to facilitate cooperation between business and software development teams. I can also discuss how to be self employed.
