Présentation d'Emmanuel

Hello, I have been working for 28 years in the innovation domain, and more specifically in (nano)materials. After first experiences in academia and in industry, I have blossomed in technology transfer centres over the last 15 years, as researcher and project manager, i.e. at the interface between academia and industry. I have naturally evolved to become an innovation manager. Over all these years, I have experienced how challenging the innovation activities could be. Often mixed up with research, invention, even creativity, innovation has a challenging position between the novelty and the applications. As a transversal activity, innovation involves a complete workflow spanning from ideation to established business, with many stakeholders and functions, requiring a proper coordination. Innovation has been more and more considered to be a clear added value to reinforce business, to remain competitive, and just sometimes to survive. Many tools and methods have been developed to generate innovation, that has to be adapted to the context. Innovation strategic implementation is strongly supported by knowledge management leading to strategic intelligence decision making methodology. In addition, I have always been interested in space activities. Within the last years, further space exploration has been boosted by the acceptance that space colonisation is enabled only by exploiting local resources, by international collaborations, and by a growing involvement of private companies. Even if in-situ resources exploitation remains a virtual market, many actors are investing and preparing the creation of an in-space economy. In this context, innovation is a key enabler to develop this future market and activities. Innovation implementation in this frame requires new approaches to support the development of activities, from research to business development, through partnership coordination within a space resources community and the appropriate knowledge management and sharing within this community. This is my new objective for the next few years! Wish to discuss with you all this in more details, Emmanuel
