Présentation de Michel
Hello, I am a Professor of Molecular and Cell Biology at the University of Illinois. I am also the Director of the Center for Innovation for Teaching and Learning, which I created 6 years ago. It represents a unique opportunity to be involved in shaping the landscape of higher education for the next generation of learners, primarily through the development and promotion of curricular excellence and innovation. 1. I manage 100+ employees, all involved in support teaching and learning in all modalities. 2. I help campus leaders in their strategic decisions 3. I support innovation through promoting the latest pedagogies and technologies, and by offering new comprehensive solutions to faculty and students After graduating from Pierre et Marie Curie with a PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology, I did a postdoc in the USA at the Carnegie Institution for Science. I was then recruited by the University of Illinois as an Assistant Professor in the department of cell and developmental biology. I was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor with tenure and shortly after was asked to direct the undergraduate curriculum of my school, which eventually led me to create and run CITL for the whole campus. Feel free to contact me if you want to know more about my job Michel
