Hello Everyone, I am Sylvain, an entrepreneur deeply immersed in fostering business connections between Europe and Asia, with a specialization in technical polymers. These polymers find their application in a variety of industries, including chemical processing, semiconductors, electronics, oil and gas, and automotive, to name a few. My career encompasses extensive experience in sales, manufacturing, and comprehensive business management. As the CEO of a nimble yet impactful company, I am involved in all facets of the business, from sales and marketing to product and project management, finance, and HR. My academic foundation was laid at the University of Central Lancashire, where I pursued International Business. My career trajectory began in the UK with a Japanese multinational corporation, where I held the position of Sales & Business Development Manager. This role was the stepping stone to a six-year tenure that culminated in my move to Shanghai to spearhead the establishment of a French company's first subsidiary in China. My entrepreneurial journey continued with the creation of my own trading company in Hong Kong, followed by a joint venture in China to produce plastic resin through innovative European recycling technologies. This venture was succeeded by the establishment of a second factory with an Italian partner, focusing on plastic processing for the Chinese market. Today, I am at the helm of my trading company (www.xiflon.com), now based in Shanghai, and we have proudly expanded with our first European subsidiary. In 2020, I launched Fluorosmart (www.fluorosmart.com), a testament to my commitment to innovation in the fluoropolymer industry. This platform is dedicated to the advancement of fluoropolymers, highlighting my dedication to sustainability and advanced material applications. Looking ahead, I am thrilled to announce my next venture, set to unfold in 2025 with the opening of a new facility in Thailand. This expansion represents not just the growth of our physical footprint but also our enduring commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the global promotion of advanced technical polymers. I am passionate about sharing my journey and the lessons I've learned with individuals eager to navigate the complexities of international business.
