Hello, I'm COO in Metro Turkey which means I'm responsible for sales and operations all around the country and at the same time, I'm member of the Board thus I co-decide the strategy for the company. I'm French and have been working for Metro for 20 years in 4 different positions and 3 countries: France, Bulgaria and Turkey. As a COO I'm responsible for omnichannel sales (stores, FSD-Food Service Delivery- and sales force) therefore I have to take care about our main assets: (i) People development: more than 4000 people are working in the Operations department and they are our main asset. Competencies and motivation development are our key success factors. (ii) Store development and optimization: where to open a new store, how to improve the shopping and customer experience into our existing stores, how to optimize the sales area,... is another part of my job. (iii) FSD development: being omnichannel is mandatory since 70% of the market sales are FSD driven, hence we decided to move from Brick and Mortar to multichannel and now to omnichannel. As a Board member, I'm also sponsor for several projects regarding the future of our company: new services, digitalization, new channels, customer experience enhancement, … My career path is a bit unique since I started in this industry at the lowest level and grew up quite fast until becoming store manager. Then I understood I was missing education to keep on growing therefore I went back to school through internal and external trainings and became Regional Manager. At this stage, once again, I decided to improve my knowledge in finance and strategy ın HEC in order to move to an executive position. I'm currently COO for 3 years.
