Hello, “Hospitality is simply an opportunity to show love and care” The General Manager wears a lot of hats and is ultimately responsible for the overall “feel” of the hotel and guest satisfaction. I oversee the operational functions, manage all the departments (via the department heads) and am responsible for profitability. It’s a very interesting job that requires a variety of skills with people, critical thinking, communication, organization, computer and financial competence all playing a part. I began my career in the Sheraton group in 2001, as Food & Beverage Manager of Sheraton Porto Alegre in Brazil, for 5 years, then passing through Sheraton Barra in Rio de Janeiro, to take over the direction of the operation in that same area. In 2007, I came to Portugal, more specifically to Sheraton Porto, where I held the position of Director of Food & Beverage. I then came to Lisbon in 2009 with the promotion to executive assistant to the Director General at Sheraton Lisboa. In 2011 I returned to Paris where he worked at Le Méridien Étoile as Hotel manager of this 1025 room hotel, the largest in France. Later to London at the Sheraton Skyline Hotel, London Heathrow as General Manager. Since June 2019, I am now the General Manager of the Sheraton Lisboa hotel & Spa in Portugal.
