Hello, I lead a team of editors to ensure they have all they need to manage schoolbooks editorial process frm A to Z. I am a youth coach and accompany youth (16-24) on personal development topics. Editorial Director – Schoolbooks Department Hachette Antoine S.A.L., 2005 – Present • Implementing the curriculum set up and adaptation of schoolbooks and extracurricular books for the Lebanese market (all subjects) and local Arab markets while setting an editorial strategy in order to have an effective editorial calendar. • Negotiating and finalizing licensing deals with international publishers to ensure developing the four-year editorial planning. • Negotiating and acquiring rights as part of the editorial planning. • Designing and monitoring an editorial budget to ensure effectiveness of the editorial strategy ($600 000 for 2022). • Allocating efficient editorial resources for all processes and ensuring compliance with the editorial calendar at all times. This involves leading and managing freelance editors, designers, illustrators, copyeditors, and inhouse teams. • Ensuring that all content is aligned with the publication’s mission and brand identity • Coaching a team of editors and experts to follow-up on projects and implement the editorial process, ensuring quality products: Reviewing manuscripts for potential publications. Setting the publishing track for the books’ template in coordination with the authors. Proof reading and copywriting textbooks in French, English and Arabic on different levels: content and form. Monitoring with the production department print, electronic, and audio book production. • Maintaining an excellent relationship with authors at all times. • Implementing the digital strategic transition of schoolbooks publishing (interactive activities, LMS...). • Setting up the Social Media strategy for the department and planning/executing marketing actions with a team of experts. • Training and Coaching teachers in Lebanon and in the MENA region. I am a professional certified coach specialized in youth coaching as well as neurosciences in coaching. My passion for teaching, and training, naturally enhanced my talent in youth coaching. With extensive experience in teaching in varied international contexts, I specialized in the training of trainers in world languages as well as in multilingual schoolbooks publishing. I am passionate about personal development, especially with the youth struggling with constant changes in education and in the world in general. I also accompany my clients through life transitions and career moves. An extensive corporate experience as a team leader gave me the tools to accompany the middle management employees towards a better work-life balance, conflict resolution, impostor syndrome and management styles.
