Hello, I work for a vocational school in Geneva as administrator meaning I'm in charge of everything that's not academic to run the school. Mainly all HR related matters, communication, Budgets, IT, Logistics and leading strategic projects in those fields. In HR : planning, allocating and hiring. On-boarding, training, annual appraisal, succession plans. Dispute resolution, harrassment policies implementation, disciplinary matters. Pension, compensation and benefits. Leave, health and security matters. Communication : website improvement and maintenance, internal info, events organization. Finance : planning, budgeting and forecasting. IT : needs analysing and finding the right provider to ensure eveything goes smoothly. Same with logistics, where I make sure teachers, clerical staff and students have all things needed from buildings to furniture. I started as a psychologist, working in an hospital in Paris, meanwhile I was studying HR. Then I had progressive responsabilities in HR and worked for all core functions in that field. I moved from Paris to London, and then Switzerland, Michigan and back to Switzerland. I did work for a variety of industries always with something around HR.
