As the Chief of Staff supporting the Medical organisation, I am responsible for supporting the Chief Medical Officer / head of the Medical department in strategy execution and performance management.

The Medical department is a large team of several hundred spread globally focusing on projects and assets from development through to launch. The range of focus areas includes clinical safety & pharmacovigilance, medical governance & bioethics, value evidence, regional medical and clinical.

Governance, risk management, and supporting budget management are as much a part of the role as leading and managing change & communications and supporting the leadership team with core business improvement techniques and ways of thinking. Success in this role will be defined by ensuring the business aspects of Vaccines development is managed smoothly to enable the experts and scientist to deliver more, quicker and with higher quality.
