Présentation de Raphaël

Hello, I'm a bioinformatics engineer in the field of genetic disease diagnosis. We take the data from the high-throughput sequencers and process it to deliver the candidate variants of the disease to the biologist in a web interface. My daily routine is about system administration, database administration and tool development. I have always been interested in biology and computing. To me, pure computing feels dull and lack of interest. Combining it with biology makes it way more attractive and that's why i did a Master degree in bioinformatics. To keep my interest high up, i did the master degree of the University of Rouen which was the only one to provide a sandwich placement, it helps a lot to take a feet in the work world and is perfect if, like me, you got bored from beeing sat, listening to someone and then doing nothing with it since middle school.
